Sontay, the market leading manufacturer and distributor of field
control devices, has added a new series of gas sensors and a
water detection alarm to its comprehensive offering. Designed
for ease of use with an impressive array of options, the new
products are a valuable addition to any building management system.
The GS-S series of gas sensors are fitted
into a robust housing that is ABS flame retardant making them
ideal for even the toughest applications. The sensors detect
a range of gases including carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide,
oxygen and sulphur dioxide. This latest range from Sontay offer
a 4-20mA output, wide supply voltage range (7.5 to 35Vdc),
excellent long term stability and an accuracy that is unaffected
by position. They function at a wide range of temperatures
(from –30 to +50°C), pressures (between
80 to 120kPa) and at an RH range of 15 to 90% non-condensing.
The WD-AMX series of water detection alarms
are designed for use with Sontay’s comprehensive range of water leak detection
modules. They are suitable for DIN-rail mounting inside AHU’s,
power distribution units or general areas where leak detection
is required. An LED indication of the water leak status is fitted
as standard whilst the audible alarm, if not required, can be disabled
by simply removing a jumper. The WD-AMX relay output is configurable
to either manual or auto reset and can be used for connection to
a BMS controller or remote alarm annunciation panel. It is available
in either 24Vac/dc or 230Vac versions and has AC detector excitation
for reliability.
