SONTAY REPORTS STRONG GROWTH

Sontay, the control peripherals and environmental measurement device specialist, has reported volume sales up 30% for the first six months of 2008, indicating continued strong performance and building on last years record results.

“In the face of rising raw material costs and the general economic slowdown, Sontay’s business is in good shape” comments Sontay Chairman, John Zarno. “We see this solid performance as a vindication of our long-term strategy. Sontay will continue to invest both in new technologies, especially those which provide energy saving, control and monitoring benefits, and in on-going improvements to customer service, sales and support.”

He adds, “We remain committed to bringing extra value to our customers in all areas of their business. We believe this dedication will prove especially important as market conditions tighten”.

In the past twelve months Sontay has brought a number of products successfully to market, including new heat meters, heat meter integrators and gas sensors, and will continue to develop innovative new products for the market. All Sontay products and control solutions carry a two year warranty and help improve building management system performance, reduce energy and maintenance costs and increase occupant comfort levels. They are renowned for their accuracy, reliability and discrete appearance and are used by many of the market leaders in the worldwide building controls industry.

Over this same period, Sontay has also continued to re-organise and re-focus its business, recruiting new people and taking significant steps to strengthen the customer service and sales side of its business. This has involved the expansion of its sales and support operations, serving both the UK and key international territories, especially Ireland and the Middle East.
