26th September 2019

This month we're talking to Marco Ciaurro our Graduate Sales Manager about what attracted him to the building controls industry and what five guests he would invite to a dinner party.

How long have you worked at Sontay?

Four months

What is your job role?

Graduate Sales manager (field sales)

What are the best/worst things about your job?

Sontay has a great company culture and a friendly team, it is like a family.

What attracted you to working in the building controls industry?

Being innovative in finding better ways to save energy is a huge trend right now given current climate challenges going on. It’s a fast paced industry with opportunities to progress. I have previously worked in the electrical industry, which is fairly similar and I enjoyed it.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in the industry?

It’s a great industry to work in and it is much bigger than you think it would be. Everything involved in this industry has an impact on the use of energy across the world. It is fast paced and can also be challenging.

Who has been the biggest influence in your career?

Family (parents and grandparents). Brother in law (works in medical sales)

What five guests would you invite to a dinner party? Dead or alive…

Mario Balotelli. Gordan Ramsey. Muhammad Ali. Donald Trump. Marco Polo
