It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision today to close the Sontay factory warehouse, and despatch department from today, the 24th March 2020.
The team have been exemplary in the way they have supported the company in continuing to manufacture products throughout this period of uncertainty. If there is anything we can take from this experience it is the heart that the Sontay team have. We have seen more than ever at this time how the team has come together as a “family” to keep the business we all love running and support each other through this difficult time.
Since the latest announcement from the Government last night, it is now clear that for the safety of our team, we need to shut the production facility and cease shipping products to our customers.
At this time, our vast distribution network is still operating and in recent weeks they have been stocking up on key Sontay products. We believe they can still fulfil orders at this time so we will be working with them to do the best we can to continue supply for the time being.
Our support teams will still be working remotely for the time being so are able to answer any of you queries and offer guidance on how best to access our product line.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the support you have given us over recent weeks and we look forward to come back stronger than ever.
Take care of your loved ones and stay safe though these difficult times.
Sending you all the best from the Sontay team.

Current Production Lead-time Update
The Sontay team are working hard to maintain service levels to our customers. We have successfully continued to manufacture and despatch orders under special measures designed to keep our workforce safe.
One of the measures we have taken is to manage our factory in split shifts over 6 days a week. This means that our usual factory workforce is halved at any one time and this is impacting on our production lead times. Our usual lead time for production items that are not in stock is 3 days, however, we are currently working at 5-day lead times.
Our Internal Sales team are all currently working diligently to process and confirm orders with accurate dates for despatch. Please take note of the date on your order confirmation and look out for any updates from the team on your delivery date. We will always let you know if an order is delayed.
Once again, we wish you all to keep safe and well. We thank you for your continued support and customer during this unprecedented time in all of our lives.
Take care from the Sontay team.
18th March 2020
With recent events regarding the Coronavirus situation, we are making a further update regarding how we are dealing with the crisis.
The Sontay Management Team have been working hard together to come up with a solution which will protect our fantastic staff, demonstrate responsibility to our suppliers and service providers and continue excellent service to our customers.
From Wednesday 18thMarch 2020, the Sontay Head Office will be closed to all visitors and all Sales, Support, Marketing, Accounts & Purchasing staff working remotely from home. Our factory will continue to operate with strict controls in place to protect our valued team.
All of our usual communication channels remain open with our telephone lines being answered by the usual familiar voices and emails responded to in the same quick turnaround that our customers expect from us. We have tested all of our systems and they are working well but as these are unusual circumstances, please be patient with us if you do experience any issues contacting us.
Further to our previous update, we continue to carry excellent stock levels of key products and are in a good position to continue the supply our customers are used to.
There may be a slight increase in our production lead times due to some of the measures we have introduced to protect the team. Our customers will be used to seeing an accurate despatch date on all order confirmations and this will still be the case so please note any date we confirm.
The health and wellbeing of our staff, customers and suppliers is of utmost importance to us, so in these extenuating circumstances, we hope you all keep well, stay safe and look after your loved ones as we will endeavour to do too.
We all look forward to easier times ahead but let’s all keep talking in the mean-time and not let this unprecedented circumstance impact the wonderful relationships we have built over the years.
Sending all of our best wishes from the Sontay Team.
